Kristi Pearson

Executive Director & CEO

Growing up in a small town, Kristi experienced firsthand the role of libraries to fuel imagination and provide a window to the world. She brings two decades of corporate and nonprofit experience to her role leading Friends in their mission to grow library appreciation and support. Kristi works in collaboration with the FHCL Board to set strategic direction, manage operations, and oversee the organization’s financial stability.

Previously at Achieve Twin Cities, Kristi led a multimillion-dollar fundraising effort to increase career and college readiness for Minneapolis students. Earlier in her career, she spent several years in international sales and business development at Siemens, Eastman Kodak, and British Petroleum. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and serves on the Board of Peris Foundation, an intentional housing community that empowers young people who have experienced foster care to develop and thrive.

Outside of work, Kristi enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her family and friends in the great outdoors.
